1Overview and Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CertiBuild platform (“CertiBuild,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using CertiBuild, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
CertiBuild is a controlled-entry verification and certification system for construction professionals. It is not a marketplace, lead generation service, bidding platform, or review site.
2Nature of the Platform
CertiBuild operates as a documentation and verification system that:
- Records contractor-submitted project data
- Evaluates information against defined standards
- Maintains certification status based on ongoing compliance
CertiBuild does not:
- Guarantee project outcomes
- Act as a contractor, subcontractor, or service provider
- Mediate or resolve disputes as a legal authority
- Provide professional, legal, or construction advice
All decisions made using CertiBuild remain the sole responsibility of the user.
3Eligibility
To use CertiBuild, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Have the legal authority to represent your business (if applicable)
CertiBuild reserves the right to deny or revoke access at its sole discretion.
4Controlled Entry and Certification
4.1 Application Required
Access to certification is not automatic. Contractors must apply and undergo review. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
4.2 Certification Status
Certification is:
- Conditional
- Non-permanent
- Subject to ongoing compliance
CertiBuild may grant, deny, suspend, or revoke certification at any time.
4.3 No Right to Certification
Participation in CertiBuild does not create any right to certification, continued access, or favorable standing.
5Contractor Responsibilities
Contractors agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information
- Submit only authentic project documentation
- Maintain valid insurance and licensing where required
- Comply with CertiBuild standards and documentation requirements
- Update information when it changes
Contractors must not:
- Submit false, misleading, or manipulated documentation
- Misrepresent work performed
- Use CertiBuild branding without authorization
- Attempt to manipulate certification status
6Project Documentation and Records
6.1 Evidence Submission
All project data submitted to CertiBuild becomes part of a structured record. CertiBuild reserves the right to:
- Accept, reject, or remove submitted materials
- Request additional documentation
- Re-evaluate previously accepted records
6.2 Record Integrity
CertiBuild distinguishes between:
- Submitted information
- Verified records
Only accepted records contribute to certification standing.
6.3 No Deletion Guarantee
Contractors acknowledge that:
- Project records may be retained permanently
- Historical records may remain even if certification is revoked
CertiBuild maintains records to preserve system integrity.
7Certification Standards and Enforcement
Certification is based on defined standards (“Pillars”) which may include:
- Insurance
- Licensing (where applicable)
- Documentation quality
- Professional conduct
- Reliability and compliance
CertiBuild may:
- Review compliance at any time
- Require re-verification
- Issue warnings or corrective requirements
- Suspend or revoke certification
Failure to maintain standards may result in immediate action.
8Enforcement Actions
CertiBuild may take the following actions at its sole discretion:
- Issue warnings
- Require corrective action
- Limit account functionality
- Suspend certification
- Revoke certification
- Remove users from the platform
Serious violations may result in immediate removal without prior notice.
9Public Representation of Records
CertiBuild may publicly display:
- Contractor identity
- Certification status
- Verified project records
- Compliance indicators
Contractors acknowledge that participation includes public visibility of verified records.
CertiBuild determines what information is displayed.
10No Reviews or Ratings
CertiBuild does not operate as a review platform.
- Free-form public reviews are not permitted
- CertiBuild does not publish subjective ratings or star systems
Structured feedback may be used internally for verification and enforcement purposes.
11Disputes and Liability
11.1 No Adjudication Role
CertiBuild is not a court of law and does not adjudicate disputes. Any disputes between parties must be resolved independently through appropriate legal channels.
11.2 No Guarantees
CertiBuild does not guarantee:
- Quality of work
- Project outcomes
- Contractor performance
Certification reflects compliance with CertiBuild standards, not a guarantee of results.
11.3 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CertiBuild is not liable for:
- Damages arising from contractor work
- Reliance on platform information
- Losses resulting from user decisions
12Fraud, Misrepresentation, and Abuse
CertiBuild takes integrity seriously.
We reserve the right to:
- Investigate suspicious activity
- Flag or remove misleading records
- Permanently remove users engaged in fraud
Attempts to manipulate the system may result in permanent removal.
13Data Use and Privacy
Use of CertiBuild is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Users acknowledge that:
- Submitted data may become part of a permanent record
- Certain information may be publicly displayed
- Data may be retained for integrity and enforcement purposes
14Intellectual Property
All CertiBuild branding, systems, and content are the property of CertiBuild.
Contractors may not:
- Use CertiBuild branding without authorization
- Misrepresent certification status
- Create misleading associations with CertiBuild
15Termination
CertiBuild may suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice.
Upon termination:
- Access to the platform may be revoked
- Records may remain as part of the system
16Changes to Terms
CertiBuild may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
17Governing Law
